President, Underhood 

Tony Croy is president of TERREPOWER’s Underhood Strategic Business Unit (SBU), reporting to COO John Amyot.

Tony oversees all aspects of the Underhood SBU, which includes rotating electrical parts for passenger vehicles, OES passenger vehicle products, electric vehicle batteries, electric stationary storage, and electronics. Prior to his role as SBU president, he held executive roles in business improvement, quality, and sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) since joining TERREPOWER in 2017.

Tony has over 30 years of industry experience, including aftermarket and OE automotive products, life sciences, and the pulp & paper industry. Prior to joining TERREPOWER, Tony spent 11 years at TMD Friction in roles of increasing responsibility, with his final role as managing director of North America from 2013 through 2017. Before TMD Friction, Tony worked at Pall Corporation and International Paper in various roles including engineering, quality, information systems, and operations. During this period, he developed an extensive background in operations, Lean, and continuous improvement, becoming a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Software Quality Engineer.

Tony earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of West Florida. In school, he had a passion for artificial intelligence (AI), completing an undergraduate thesis on AI applications in the chemical manufacturing industry followed by a thesis on AI for his master’s degree.

Tony resides in Spanish Fort, Alabama, and enjoys playing guitar, fishing, and boating along the Gulf Coast.
